20aFor the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into aahis vineyard. 2And when he had agreed with the labourers for ba ||penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. 5Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6And about the celeventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7They say unto him, dBecause no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. 8So ewhen even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his fsteward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 9And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. 10But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. 11And when they had received it, they murmured against gthe goodman of the house, 12Saying, These last ||have hwrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and iheat of the day. 13But he answered one of them, and said, jFriend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? 14Take jjthat thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15kIs it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye levil, because I am mgood? 16So nthe last shall be first, and the first last: ofor many be called, but few chosen.

17pAnd Jesus ppgoing up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, 18Behold, qwe go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be rbetrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19And shall rdeliver him sto the Gentiles to tmock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and uthe third day he shall rise again.

20wThen came to him the mother of xZebedee’s children with her sons, yworshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. 21And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons zmay sit, the one zzon thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. 22But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of athe cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with bthe baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. 23And he saith unto them, cYe shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, dbut it shall be given to them for whom it is eprepared of my Father. 24And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren. 25But Jesus called them unto him, and said, fYe know that the princes of the Gentiles gexercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26But it shall not be so among you: but hwhosoever will be great among you, let him be your iminister; 27And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, kbut to minister, and lto give his life a ransom for mmany.

29nAnd as they nndeparted from oJericho, a great multitude followed him. 30And, behold, ptwo blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 31And the multitude rebuked them, qbecause they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. 32And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? 33They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. 34So Jesus had compassion on them, and rtouched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

21And awhen they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to bBethphage, unto cthe mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, 2Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. 4dAll this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5eTell ye the daughter of Sion, fBehold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. 6And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, 7And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him gthereon. 8And a very great multitude hspread their garments in the way; others icut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, kHosanna to the Son of David: lBlessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; kHosanna min the highest. 10nAnd when he was come into Jerusalem, oall the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 11And the multitude said, This is Jesus pthe prophet of qNazareth of Galilee.

12rAnd Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the stables of the tmoneychangers, and the seats of them that sold udoves, 13And said unto them, It is written, xMy house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it ya den of yythieves. 14And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. 15And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, zHosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, 16And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, aOut of the mouth of bbabes and sucklings thou hast cperfected praise? 17And he left them, and went out of the city into dBethany; and he lodged there.

18eNow in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 19And when he saw †a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. 20fAnd when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! 21Jesus answered and said unto them, gVerily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and hdoubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto ithis mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22And kall things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

23lAnd when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, mBy what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? 24And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they mreasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? 26But if we shall say, Of men; nwe fear the people; for all hold John as oa prophet. 27And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. 28pBut what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day qin my vineyard. 29He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he rrepented, and went. 30And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. 31Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the spublicans and the tharlots go into the kingdom of God before you. 32For John came unto you uin the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the xpublicans and the harlots xbelieved him: and ye, when ye had seen it, qrepented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

33Hear another parable: yThere was a certain householder, which planted za vineyard, and ahedged it round about, and adigged a winepress in it, and abuilt a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and bwent into a far country: 34And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, cthat they might receive the fruits of it. 35And the husbandmen took his servants, and dbeat one, and ekilled another, and fstoned another. 36Again, he sent gother servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. 37But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will hreverence my son. 38But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is ithe heir; come, jlet us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. 39kAnd they caught him, and cast him lout of the vineyard, and slew him. 40When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? 41They say unto him, mHe will miserably destroy those wicked men, nand will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. 42Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, oThe stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43Therefore say I unto you, pThe kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44And whosoever qshall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall…
