Psalm 99

¹The Lord reigns,^j

let the nations tremble;^k

he sits enthroned^l between the cherubim,^m

let the earth shake.

²Great is the Lordⁿ in Zion;^o

he is exalted^p over all the nations.

³Let them praise^q your great and awesome name^r—

he is holy.^s

⁴The King^t is mighty, he loves justice^u—

you have established equity;^v

in Jacob you have done

what is just and right.^w

⁵Exalt^x the Lord our God

and worship at his footstool;

he is holy.

⁶Moses^y and Aaron^z were among his priests,

Samuel^a was among those who called on his name;

they called on the Lord

and he answered^b them.

⁷He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud;^c

they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

⁸Lord our God,

you answered them;

you were to Israel a forgiving God,^d

though you punished^e their misdeeds.^a

⁹Exalt the Lord our God

and worship at his holy mountain,

for the Lord our God is holy.

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

¹Shout for joy^f to the Lord, all the earth.

²Worship the Lord^g with gladness;

come before him^h with joyful songs.

³Know that the Lord is God.ⁱ

It is he who made us,^j and we are his^a;

we are his people,^k the sheep of his pasture.^l

⁴Enter his gates with thanksgiving^m

and his courtsⁿ with praise;

give thanks to him and praise his name.^o

⁵For the Lord is good^p and his love endures forever;^q

his faithfulness^r continues through all generations.

Psalm 101

Of David. A psalm.

¹I will sing of your love^s and justice;

to you, Lord, I will sing praise.

²I will be careful to lead a blameless life^t—

when will you come to me?

I will conduct the affairs^u of my house

with a blameless heart.

³I will not look with approval

on anything that is vile.^v

I hate what faithless people do;^w

I will have no part in it.

⁴The perverse of heart^x shall be far from me;

I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

⁵Whoever slanders their neighbor^y in secret,

I will put to silence;

whoever has haughty eyes^z and a proud heart,

I will not tolerate.

⁶My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,

that they may dwell with me;

the one whose walk is blameless^a

will minister to me.

⁷No one who practices deceit

will dwell in my house;

no one who speaks falsely

will stand in my presence.

⁸Every morning^b I will put to silence

all the wicked^c in the land;

I will cut off every evildoer^d

from the city of the Lord.^e
