PSALM 28
A Prayer for Help, and Praise for Its Answer.
A Psalm of David.
1To You, O Lord, I call;
My arock, do not be deaf to me,
For if You bare silent to me,
I will become like those who cgo down to the pit.
2Hear the avoice of my supplications when I cry to You for help,
When I blift up my hands ctoward 1Your holy dsanctuary.
3aDo not drag me away with the wicked
And with those who work iniquity,
Who bspeak peace with their neighbors,
While evil is in their hearts.
4Requite them aaccording to their work and according to the evil of their practices;
Requite them according to the deeds of their hands;
Repay them their 1recompense.
5Because they ado not regard the works of the Lord
Nor the deeds of His hands,
He will tear them down and not build them up.
6Blessed be the Lord,
Because He ahas heard the voice of my supplication.
7The Lord is my astrength and my bshield;
My heart ctrusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore dmy heart exults,
And with emy song I shall thank Him.
8The Lord is 1their astrength,
And He is a 2bsaving defense to His anointed.
9aSave Your people and bless bYour inheritance;
Be their cshepherd also, and dcarry them forever.
PSALM 29
The Voice of the Lord in the Storm.
A Psalm of David.
1aAscribe to the Lord, O 1sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2Ascribe to the Lord the glory 1due to His name;
Worship the Lord ain 2holy array.
3The avoice of the Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory bthunders,
The Lord is over 1cmany waters.
4The voice of the Lord is apowerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
5The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces athe cedars of Lebanon.
6He makes Lebanon askip like a calf,
And bSirion like a young wild ox.
7The voice of the Lord hews out 1flames of fire.
8The voice of the Lord 1shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of aKadesh.
9The voice of the Lord makes athe deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And bin His temple everything says, “Glory!”
10The Lord sat as King at the aflood;
Yes, the Lord sits as bKing forever.
