PSALM 101
Consider the Way of the Blameless
Of David. A Psalm.
1I will asing of lovingkindness and 1justice,
To You, O Yahweh, I will sing praises.
2I will 1aconsider the way of the blameless.
When will You come to me?
I will walk within my house in the 2bintegrity of my heart.
3I will set no avile thing before my eyes;
I hate the 1work of those who bfall away;
It shall not cling to me.
4A acrooked heart shall depart from me;
I will know no evil.
5Whoever secretly aslanders his neighbor, him I will 1destroy;
Whoever has a bhaughty look and an arrogant heart, I will not endure.
6My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may abide with me;
He who walks in the away of the blameless is the one who will minister to me.
7He who apractices deceit shall not dwell within my house;
He who speaks lies bshall not be established before my eyes.
8aEvery morning I will 1bdestroy all the wicked of the land,
To ccut off from the dcity of Yahweh all the workers of iniquity.
PSALM 102
Do Not Hide Your Face from Me
A Prayer of the afflicted when he is faint and †pours out his complaint before Yahweh.
1aO Yahweh, hear my prayer!
And let my cry for help bcome to You.
2aDo not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress;
bIncline Your ear to me;
In the day when I call canswer me quickly.
3For my days ahave 1vanished in smoke,
And my bbones have been scorched like a hearth.
4My heart ahas been stricken like 1grass and it has bdried up,
Indeed, I cforget to eat my bread.
5Because of the sound of my groaning
6I resemble a apelican of the wilderness;
I have become like an owl of the waste places.
7I alie awake,
I have become like a lonely bird on a roof.
8My enemies ahave reproached me all day long;
Those who 1bridicule me cswear against me.
9For I have eaten ashes like bread
And amixed my drinks with weeping
10aBecause of Your indignation and Your wrath,
For You have blifted me up and cast me away.
11My days are like an aoutstretched shadow,
And as for me, I bdry up like 1grass.
12But You, O Yahweh, 1aabide forever,
And the bremembrance of Your name 2from generation to generation.
13You will aarise and have bcompassion on Zion—
For cit is time to be gracious to it,
For the dappointed time has come.
14For Your slaves 1find pleasure in its stones
And show grace to its dust—
151So the 2anations will fear the name of Yahweh
And ball the kings of the earth Your glory.
16For Yahweh has abuilt up Zion;
He has bappeared in His glory.
17He has aturned toward the prayer of the 1destitute
And has not despised their prayer.
181This will be awritten for the bgeneration to come,
And ca people yet to be created will praise Yah.
19For He alooked down from His holy height;
bFrom heaven Yahweh gazed 1upon the earth,
20To hear the agroaning of the prisoner,
To bset free 1those who were doomed to death,
21To arecount the name of Yahweh in Zion
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22When athe peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.
23He has afflicted my strength in the way;
He has ashortened my days.
24I say, “O my God, ado not take me away in the 1midst of my days,
Your byears are from generation to all generations.
25“Of old You afounded the earth,
And the bheavens are the work of Your hands.
26“1Even they will aperish, but You will remain;
And all of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
And Your years will not come to an end.
28“The achildren of Your slaves will dwell securely,
And their bseed will be established before You.”
PSALM 103
Bless Yahweh, O My Soul
Of David.
1aBless Yahweh, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His bholy name.
2Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
And aforget none of His benefits;
3Who apardons all your iniquities,
Who bheals all your diseases;
4Who aredeems your life from the pit,
Who bcrowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
5Who asatisfies your 1years with good things,
So that your youth is brenewed like the eagle.
6Yahweh aperforms righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are boppressed.
7He amade known His ways to Moses,
His bacts to the sons of Israel.
8Yahweh is acompassionate and gracious,
bSlow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
9He awill not always contend with us,
And He will not bkeep His anger forever.
10He has anot dealt with us according to our sins,
And He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11For as high aas the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who 1fear Him.
12As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He aremoved our transgressions from us.
13aAs a father has compassion on his children,
So Yahweh has compassion on those who 1fear Him.
14For aHe Himself knows 1our form;
He bremembers that we are but cdust.
15As for man, his days are alike grass;
As a bflower of the field, so he flowers.
16When the awind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its bplace acknowledges it no longer.
17But the alovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who 1fear Him,
And His 2righteousness bto children’s children,
18To athose who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.
19Yahweh has established His athrone in the heavens,
And His bkingdom rules over 1all.
20Bless Yahweh, you aHis angels,
bMighty in strength, who cperform His word,
dObeying the voice of His word!
21Bless Yahweh, all you aHis hosts,
You bwho serve Him, doing His will.
22Bless Yahweh, aall you works of His,
In all places of His rule;
Bless Yahweh, O my soul!
PSALM 104
The Glory of Yahweh Endures Forever
1aBless Yahweh, O my soul!
O Yahweh my God, You are very great;
You are bclothed with splendor and majesty,
2Wrapping Yourself with alight as with a cloak,
bStretching out the heavens like a tent curtain.
31He alays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;
2He sets up the bclouds to be His chariot;
3He walks upon the cwings of the wind;
41He makes His 2angels athe winds,
His ministers flaming bfire.
5He afounded the earth upon its place,
So that it will not 1shake forever and ever.
6You acovered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains.
7At Your arebuke they fled,
At the bsound of Your thunder they hurried away in alarm.
8The mountains went up; the valleys went down
To the aplace which You founded for them.
9You set a aboundary that they may not pass over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.
101He sends forth asprings in the valleys;
They flow between the mountains;
11They agive water to every beast of the field;
The bwild donkeys quench their thirst.
12Above them the birds of the heavens adwell;
They give forth their voices among the branches.
131He agives water to the mountains from His upper chambers;
bThe earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.
141He causes the agrass to grow for the 2cattle,
And bvegetation for man’s 3cultivation,
To bring forth 4food cfrom the earth,
15And awine which makes man’s heart glad,
bTo make his face glisten more than oil,
And 1food which csustains man’s heart.
16The trees of Yahweh are satisfied,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
17Where the abirds build their nests,
The bstork’s home is in the 1fir trees.
18The high mountains are for the awild goats;
The bcliffs are a refuge for the 1cshephanim.
19He made the moon afor the seasons;
The bsun knows the place of its setting.
20You aappoint darkness so that it becomes night,
In which all the bbeasts of the forest ccreep about.
21The ayoung lions roar to go after their prey
And to bseek their food from God.
22When the sun rises they gather together
And lie down in their adens.
23Man goes forth to ahis work
And to his labor until evening.
24How anumerous are Your works, O Yahweh!
1In bwisdom You have made them all;
The cearth is full of Your 2possessions.
25This is the asea, great and 1broad,
There the creeping things are without number,
Creatures both small and great.
26There the aships move along,
And 1bLeviathan, which You have formed to play in it.
27They all await for You
To bgive them their food in 1due season.
28You give to them, they gather it up;
You aopen Your hand, they are satisfied with good.
29You ahide Your face, they are dismayed;
You btake away their 1spirit, they breathe their last
And creturn to their dust.
30You send forth Your 1aSpirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the ground.
31Let the aglory of Yahweh endure forever;
Let Yahweh bbe glad in His works;
321He alooks at the earth, and it btrembles;
He ctouches the mountains, and they smoke.
331I will sing to Yahweh athroughout my life;
2I will bsing praise to my God 3while I have my being.
34Let my amusing be pleasing to Him;
As for me, I shall bbe glad in Yahweh.
35Let sinners be aconsumed from the earth
And let the bwicked be no more.
cBless Yahweh, O my soul.
PSALM 105
Remember His Wondrous Deeds
1Oh agive thanks to Yahweh, bcall upon His name;
cMake known His acts among the peoples.
2Sing to Him, asing praises to Him;
bMuse on all His wondrous deeds.
3Boast in His holy name;
Let the aheart of those who seek Yahweh be glad.
4Inquire of Yahweh and aHis strength;
bSeek His face continually.
5Remember His awondrous deeds which He has done,
His miracles and the bjudgments 1uttered by His mouth,
6O seed of aAbraham, His servant,
O sons of bJacob, His cchosen ones!
7He is Yahweh our God;
His ajudgments are in all the earth.
8He has aremembered His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded for a bthousand generations,
9aWhich He cut with Abraham,
And His boath to Isaac.
10Then He aconfirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11Saying, “aTo you I will give the land of Canaan
As the 1bportion of your inheritance,”
12When they were only a afew men in number,
Of little account, and bsojourners in it.
13And they wandered about from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people.
14He apermitted no man to oppress them,
And He breproved kings…
