Psalm 25
A Psalm of David.
Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul. My God, I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause. Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths. Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness’ sake, Jehovah.
8Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way: 9The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way. 10All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11For thy name’s sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 12What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. 13His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.
15Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net. 16Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted. 17The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses; 18Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins. 19Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred. 20Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee. 21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Psalm 26
A Psalm of David.
Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have confided in Jehovah: I shall not slip. Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart: For thy loving-kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in thy truth. I have not sat with vain persons, neither have I gone in with dissemblers; I have hated the congregation of evil-doers, and I have not sat with the wicked.
6I will wash my hands in innocency, and will encompass thine altar, O Jehovah, 7That I may cause the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and declare all thy marvellous works. 8Jehovah, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth. 9Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood; 10In whose hands are evil devices, and their right hand is full of bribes. 11But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity. Redeem me, and be gracious unto me. 12My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregations will I bless Jehovah.
Psalm 27
A Psalm of David.
Jehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evil-doers, mine adversaries and mine enemies, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. If a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; if war rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to inquire of him in his temple. For in the day of evil he will hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tent will he keep me concealed: he will set me high upon a rock. And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; and I will offer in his tent sacrifices of shouts of joy: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms unto Jehovah.
7Hear, Jehovah; with my voice do I call; be gracious unto me, and answer me. 8My heart said for thee, Seek ye my face. Thy face, O Jehovah, will I seek. 9Hide not thy face from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10For had my father and my mother forsaken me, then had Jehovah taken me up. 11Teach me thy way, Jehovah, and lead me in an even path, because of mine enemies. 12Deliver me not over to the will of mine adversaries; for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out violence. 13Unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living…! 14Wait for Jehovah; be strong and let thy heart take courage: yea, wait for Jehovah.
