1How lovely are Your adwelling places,
O Lord of hosts!
2My asoul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the bliving God.
3The bird also has found a house,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young,
Even Your aaltars, O Lord of hosts,
bMy King and my God.
4How ablessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are bever praising You.
1Selah.
5How blessed is the man whose astrength is in You,
In 1whose heart are the bhighways to Zion!
6Passing through the valley of 1Baca they make it a 2spring;
The aearly rain also covers it with blessings.
7They ago from strength to strength,
1Every one of them bappears before God in Zion.
8O aLord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O bGod of Jacob!
Selah.
9Behold our ashield, O God,
And look upon the face of bYour anointed.
10For aa day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11For the Lord God is aa sun and bshield;
The Lord gives grace and cglory;
dNo good thing does He withhold 1from those who walk 2uprightly.
12O Lord of hosts,
How ablessed is the man who trusts in You!
PSALM 85
Prayer for God’s Mercy upon the Nation.
For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
1O Lord, You showed afavor to Your land;
You 1brestored the captivity of Jacob.
2You aforgave the iniquity of Your people;
You bcovered all their sin.
1Selah.
3You awithdrew all Your fury;
You bturned away from Your burning anger.
4aRestore us, O God of our salvation,
And bcause Your indignation toward us to cease.
5Will aYou be angry with us forever?
Will You prolong Your anger to 1all generations?
6Will You not Yourself 1arevive us again,
That Your people may brejoice in You?
7Show us Your lovingkindness, O Lord,
And agrant us Your salvation.
81I will hear what God the Lord will say;
For He will aspeak peace to His people, 2to His godly ones;
But let them not bturn back to 3folly.
9Surely aHis salvation is near to those who 1fear Him,
That bglory may dwell in our land.
10aLovingkindness and 1truth have met together;
bRighteousness and peace have kissed each other.
111Truth asprings from the earth,
And righteousness looks down from heaven.
12Indeed, athe Lord will give what is good,
And our bland will yield its produce.
13aRighteousness will go before Him
And will make His footsteps into a way.
