PSALM 145

Yahweh’s Greatness Is Unsearchable

A Praise of David.

And I will ^cbless Your name forever and ever.

And I will ^apraise Your name forever and ever.

^3aGreat is Yahweh, and highly to be praised,

And shall declare Your mighty deeds.

And ^bon the words of Your wondrous deeds, I will muse.

⁶Men shall speak of the strength of Your ^1afearsome acts,

And I will ^brecount Your greatness.

⁷They shall pour forth the memory of Your ^aabundant goodness

And will ^bshout joyfully of Your righteousness.

⁸Yahweh is ^agracious and compassionate;

Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.

⁹Yahweh is ^agood to all,

And His ^bcompassions are over all His works.

^10aAll Your works, O Yahweh, shall give thanks to You,

And Your ^bholy ones shall bless You.

¹¹They shall speak of the ^aglory of Your kingdom

And talk of Your might;

¹²To ^amake known to the sons of men His mighty deeds

And the ^bglory of the majesty of His kingdom.

¹³Your kingdom is ¹an ^aeverlasting kingdom,

And Your dominion endures from generation to every generation.

¹⁴Yahweh ^asustains all who fall

And ^braises up all who are bowed down.

¹⁵The eyes of all wait on You,

And You ^agive them their food in due time.

And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

¹⁷Yahweh is ^arighteous in all His ways

And holy in all His works.

¹⁸Yahweh is ^anear to all who call upon Him,

To all who call upon Him ^bin truth.

He will ^bhear their cry for help and He will save them.

But all the ^bwicked He will destroy.

PSALM 146

I Will Praise Yahweh Throughout My Life

¹¹Praise Yah!

^aPraise Yahweh, O my soul!

²I will praise Yahweh ^athroughout my life;

I will ^bsing praises to my God while I have my being.

^3aDo not trust in nobles,

In merely a son of ^bman, in whom there is ^cno salvation.

⁴His ^aspirit departs, he ^breturns to ¹the earth;

In that very day his ^cplans perish.

⁵How ^ablessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,

Whose ^bhope is in Yahweh his God,

⁶Who ^amade heaven and earth,

The ^bsea and all that is in them;

Who ^ckeeps truth forever;

⁷Who ^adoes justice for the oppressed;

Who ^bgives food to the hungry.

Yahweh ^csets the prisoners free.

⁸Yahweh ^aopens the eyes of the blind;

Yahweh ^braises up those who are bowed down;

Yahweh ^cloves the righteous;

⁹Yahweh ^akeeps the sojourners;

He ^1bhelps up the orphan and the widow,

But He bends ^cthe way of the wicked.

¹⁰Yahweh will ^areign forever,

Your God, O Zion, ¹from generation to generation.

PSALM 147

He Heals the Brokenhearted

¹¹Praise Yah!

For ^ait is good to sing praises to our God;

For ²it is pleasant and praise is ^bbecoming.

²Yahweh ^abuilds up Jerusalem;

He ^bgathers the ¹outcasts of Israel.

³He is the One who heals the ^abrokenhearted

And who ^bbinds up their ¹wounds,

⁴Who ^acounts the number of the stars;

He ^1bgives names to all of them.

^5aGreat is our Lord and abundant in power;

His ^bdiscernment is ¹infinite.

⁶Yahweh ^1ahelps up the afflicted;

He brings down the wicked to the ground.

^7aSing to Yahweh with thanksgiving;

Sing praises to our God on the lyre.

⁸He is the One who ^acovers the heavens with clouds,

The One who ^bprovides rain for the earth,

The One who ^cmakes grass to sprout on the mountains,

⁹Who ^agives to the animal its food,

And to the ^byoung ravens which call out.

¹⁰He does not delight in the might of the ^ahorse;

He ^bdoes not take pleasure in the legs of a man.

¹¹Yahweh ^ais pleased with those who fear Him,

^bThose who wait for His lovingkindness.

¹²Laud Yahweh, O Jerusalem!

Praise your God, O Zion!

¹³For He strengthened the ^abars of your gates;

He ^bblessed your sons within you.

¹⁴He is the One who ^asets ¹peace in your borders,

He ^bsatisfies you with ^cthe ²finest of the wheat,

¹⁵The One who sends forth His ^acommand to the earth;

His ^bword runs very swiftly,

¹⁶The One who gives ^asnow like wool;

He scatters the ^bfrost like ashes,

¹⁷Who casts forth His ^aice as fragments;

Who can stand before His ^bcold?

¹⁸He ^asends forth His word and melts them;

He ^bcauses His wind to blow and so the waters flow,

¹⁹Who ^adeclares His words to Jacob,

His ^bstatutes and His judgments to Israel.

²⁰He ^ahas not done so with any nation;

So as for His judgments, they have ^bnot known them.
