PSALM 113
Who Is like Yahweh Our God?
11Praise Yah!
Praise the name of Yahweh.
2aMay the name of Yahweh be blessed
From now until forever.
3aFrom the rising of the sun to its setting
The bname of Yahweh is to be praised.
4Yahweh is ahigh above all nations;
His bglory is above the heavens.
5aWho is like Yahweh our God,
The One who bsits on high,
6The One who 1abrings Himself low to see
The things in heaven and on the earth?
7Who araises the poor from the dust
And lifts high the needy from the ash heap,
8To make them asit with 1nobles,
With the 2nobles of His people.
9He amakes the barren woman of the house sit
As a glad mother of children.
1Praise Yah!
PSALM 114
When Israel Went Out from Egypt
1When Israel went out afrom Egypt,
The house of Jacob from a people of bstrange language,
2Judah became aHis sanctuary,
Israel, bHis dominion.
3The asea looked and fled;
The bJordan turned back.
4The mountains askipped like rams,
The hills, like lambs.
5What adisturbs you, O sea, that you flee?
O Jordan, that you turn back?
6O mountains, that you skip like rams?
O hills, like lambs?
7aTremble, O earth, before the Lord,
Before the God of Jacob,
8Who aturned the rock into a bpool of water,
The cflint into a spring of water.
PSALM 115
To Yahweh’s Name Give Glory
1aNot to us, O Yahweh, not to us,
But bto Your name give glory
Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your 1truth.
2aWhy should the nations say,
“bWhere, now, is their God?”
3But our aGod is in the heavens;
He bdoes whatever He pleases.
4Their aidols are silver and gold,
The bwork of man’s hands.
5They have mouths, but they ado not speak;
They have eyes, but they do not see;
6They have ears, but they do not hear;
They have noses, but they do not smell;
7As for their hands, they do not feel;
As for their feet, they do not walk;
They do not make a sound with their throat.
8aThose who make them 1will become like them,
Everyone who trusts in them.
He is their chelp and their shield.
10O house of aAaron, trust in Yahweh;
He is their help and their shield.
11You who 1afear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh;
He is their help and their shield.
12Yahweh aremembered us; He will bless!
He will bless the house of Israel.
He will bless the house of Aaron.
13He will abless those who 1fear Yahweh,
bThe small together with the great.
14May Yahweh agive you increase,
You and your children.
15May you be blessed of Yahweh,
aWho made heaven and earth.
16The heavens are athe heavens of Yahweh,
But bthe earth He has given to the sons of men.
17It is not the adead that praise Yah,
And it is none of those who go down to bsilence;
18But as for us, we will abless Yah
From now until forever.
1Praise Yah!
PSALM 116
I Love Yahweh
1aI love Yahweh, because He bhears
My voice and my supplications.
2Because He has ainclined His ear to me,
So I shall call upon Him in all my days.
3The acords of death encompassed me
And the 1distresses of Sheol found me;
I found distress and sorrow.
4Then aI called upon the name of Yahweh:
“O Yahweh, I beseech You, 1bprovide my soul escape!”
5aGracious is Yahweh, and brighteous;
And our God is ccompassionate.
6Yahweh keeps athe simple;
I was bbrought low, and He saved me.
7Return to your arest, O my soul,
For Yahweh has bdealt bountifully with you.
8For You have arescued my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
My feet from stumbling.
9I shall walk before Yahweh
10I abelieved when I said,
“I am bgreatly afflicted.”
11I asaid in my alarm,
“bAll men are liars.”
12What shall I agive to Yahweh in return
For all His bbountiful dealings 1with me?
13I shall lift up the acup of 1salvation
And bcall upon the name of Yahweh.
14I shall apay my vows to Yahweh,
Oh may it be bin the presence of all His people.
15aPrecious in the sight of Yahweh
Is the death of His holy ones.
16O Yahweh, 1surely I am aYour slave,
I am Your slave, the bson of Your maidservant,
You have cloosed my bonds.
17To You I shall offer aa sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And bcall upon the name of Yahweh.
18I shall apay my vows to Yahweh,
Oh may it be in the presence of all His people,
19In the acourts of the house of Yahweh,
In the midst of you, O bJerusalem.
1Praise Yah!
PSALM 117
Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Prevails
1aPraise Yahweh, all nations;
Laud Him, all peoples!
2For His alovingkindness prevails over us,
And the 1btruth of Yahweh is everlasting.
2Praise Yah!
PSALM 118
Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Endures Forever
1aGive thanks to Yahweh, for bHe is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
2Oh let aIsrael say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
3Oh let the ahouse of Aaron say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
4Oh let those awho 1fear Yahweh say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
5From my adistress I called upon Yah;
Yah answered me and bset me in a large place.
6Yahweh is afor me; I will bnot fear;
cWhat can man do to me?
7Yahweh is for me aamong those who help me;
Therefore I will blook in triumph on those who hate me.
8It is abetter to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in man.
9It is abetter to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in nobles.
10All nations asurrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely bcut them off.
11They asurrounded me, indeed, they surrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.
12They surrounded me alike bees;
They were extinguished as a bfire of thorns;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.
13You apushed me down violently to make me fall,
But Yahweh bhelped me.
14aYah is my strength and song,
And He has become bmy salvation.
15The sound of ajoyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;
The bright hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
16The aright hand of Yahweh is exalted;
The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
17I awill not die; indeed I will live,
And brecount the works of Yah.
18Yah has adisciplined me severely,
But He has bnot given me over to death.
19aOpen to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to Yah.
20This is the gate of Yahweh;
The arighteous will enter through it.
21I shall give thanks to You, for You have aanswered me,
And You have bbecome my salvation.
22The astone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
23This is from Yahweh;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24This is the day which Yahweh has made;
Let us arejoice and be glad in it.
25O Yahweh, asave!
O Yahweh, bsucceed!
26aBlessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh;
We have bblessed you from the house of Yahweh.
27aYahweh is God, and He has given us blight;
Bind the festival sacrifice with cords 1to the chorns of the altar.
28aYou are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, bI exalt You.
29aGive thanks to Yahweh, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
