aIf ye then be risen with Christ, seek bthose things which are above, cwhere Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on bthings above, not on things on the earth. 3For dye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is eour life, fshall appear, then shall ye also appear with him gin glory.
5hMortify therefore iyour members which are upon the earth; kfornication, kuncleanness, lminordinate affection, evil mconcupiscence, and kcovetousness, nwhich is idolatry: 6ofor which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on pthe children of ndisobedience: 7in the which qye also walked rsometime, when ye lived in them. 8But now you also sput off all these; tanger, twrath, tmalice, tblasphemy, ufilthy communication out of your mouth. 9wLie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off sxthe old man with his deeds; 10and yhave put on zthe new man, awhich is renewed bin knowledge after cthe image of him that dcreated him: 11where there is neither efGreek nor Jew, gcircumcision nor uncircumcision, hbarbarian, iScythian, fbond nor free: but Christ is kall, and in all. 12yPut on therefore, as lthe elect of God, holy and mbeloved, nobowels of mercies, okindness, phumbleness of mind, pmeekness, plongsuffering; 13pforbearing one another, and oforgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: oeven as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14qAnd above all these things rput on scharity, which is the tbond of uperfectness. 15And let wthe peace of God rule in your hearts, xto the which also ye are called yin one body; zand be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly abin all wisdom; bteaching and badmonishing one another cin psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing dwith grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And ewhatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, fgiving thanks to God and the Father by him.
18gWives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, has it is fit in the Lord. 19iHusbands, love your wives, and kbe not bitter against them. 20lChildren, obey your parents min all things: for this is nwell pleasing unto the Lord. 21oFathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be pdiscouraged. 22qServants, obey min all things your masters according to the flesh; qnot with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but qin singleness of heart, fearing God: 23and ewhatsoever ye do, do it rheartily, as sto the Lord, and not unto men; 24tknowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of uthe inheritance: for qsye serve the Lord Christ. 25But he that doeth wrong wshall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and xthere is no respect of persons.
IV.aMasters, give unto your servants that which is just and bequal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2cdContinue ein prayer, and fwatch in the same gwith thanksgiving; 3withal hpraying also for us, that God would iopen unto us a door of utterance, to speak kthe mystery of Christ, lfor which I am also in bonds: 4that mI may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. 5nWalk oin wisdom toward pthem that are without, qredeeming the time. 6Let your speech be alway rwith grace, sseasoned with salt, that you may know thow ye ought to answer every man.
7uAll my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and wa faithful minister and wfellowservant in the Lord: 8whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and xcomfort your hearts; 9with xxOnesimus, a yfaithful and beloved brother, jwho is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here. 10zAristarchus amy fellowprisoner saluteth you, and bMarcus, csister’s son to dBarnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: eif he come unto you, receive him;) 11and Jesus, which is called fJustus, gwho are of the circumcision. These only are my hfellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me. 12iEpaphras, jwho is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always klabouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand lperfect and mcomplete in all mmthe will of God. 13For I bear him record, that he hath a great nzeal for you, and them that are in oLaodicea, and them in Hierapolis. 14pLuke, the beloved physician, and qDemas, greet you. 15Salute the brethren which are in oLaodicea, and Nymphas, and rthe church which is in his house. 16And when sthis epistle tis read amongst you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from oLaodicea. 17And say to uArchippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. 18wThe salutation by the hand of me Paul. xRemember ymy bonds. zGrace be with you. Amen.
