Daily Offerings

The Lord said to Moses, “Give this command to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Make sure that you present to me at the appointed time^a my food^b offerings, as an aroma pleasing to me.’^c Say to them: ‘This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: two lambs a year old without defect,^d as a regular burnt offering each day.^e Offer one lamb in the morning and the other at twilight,^f together with a grain offering^g of a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour^h mixed with a quarter of a hin of oilⁱ from pressed olives. This is the regular burnt offering^j instituted at Mount Sinai^k as a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.^l The accompanying drink offering^m is to be a quarter of a hin of fermented drinkⁿ with each lamb. Pour out the drink offering to the Lord at the sanctuary.^o Offer the second lamb at twilight,^p along with the same kind of grain offering and drink offering that you offer in the morning.^q This is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.^r

Sabbath Offerings

“ ‘On the Sabbath^a day, make an offering of two lambs a year old without defect,^b together with its drink offering and a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah^c of the finest flour mixed with olive oil.^d This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath,^e in addition to the regular burnt offering^f and its drink offering.

Monthly Offerings

“ ‘On the first of every month,^a present to the Lord a burnt offering of two young bulls,^b one ram^c and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^d With each bull there is to be a grain offering^e of three-tenths of an ephah^f of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, a grain offering of two-tenths^g of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; and with each lamb, a grain offering^h of a tenthⁱ of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil. This is for a burnt offering,^j a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.^k With each bull there is to be a drink offering^l of half a hin of wine; with the ram, a third of a hin; and with each lamb, a quarter of a hin. This is the monthly burnt offering to be made at each new moon^m during the year. Besides the regular burnt offeringⁿ with its drink offering, one male goat^o is to be presented to the Lord as a sin offering.^p

The Passover

28:16-25^pp — Ex 12:14–20; Lev 23:4–8; Dt 16:1–8

“ ‘On the fourteenth day of the first month the Lord’s Passover^a is to be held. On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; for seven days^b eat bread made without yeast.^c On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^d Present to the Lord a food offering^e consisting of a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^f With each bull offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah^g of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^h and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.ⁱ Include one male goat as a sin offering^j to make atonement for you.^k Offer these in addition to the regular morning burnt offering. In this way present the food offering every day for seven days as an aroma pleasing to the Lord;^l it is to be offered in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering. On the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

Festival of Weeks

28:26-31^pp — Lev 23:15–22; Dt 16:9–12

“ ‘On the day of firstfruits,^a when you present to the Lord an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks,^b hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^c Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old as an aroma pleasing to the Lord.^d With each bull there is to be a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^e and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^f Include one male goat^g to make atonement for you. Offer these together with their drink offerings, in addition to the regular burnt offering^h and its grain offering. Be sure the animals are without defect.

Festival of Trumpets

29:1-6^pp — Lev 23:23–25

“ ‘On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.^a It is a day for you to sound the trumpets. As an aroma pleasing to the Lord,^b offer a burnt offering^c of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,^d all without defect.^e With the bull offer a grain offering^f of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths; and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^g Include one male goat^h as a sin offering to make atonement for you. These are in addition to the monthlyⁱ and daily burnt offerings^j with their grain offerings^k and drink offerings^l as specified. They are food offerings presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma.^m

Day of Atonement

29:7-11^pp — Lev 16:2–34; 23:26–32

“ ‘On the tenth day of this seventh month hold a sacred assembly. You must deny yourselves^a and do no work.^b Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.^c With the bull offer a grain offering^d of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with the ram, two-tenths;^e and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.^f Include one male goat^g as a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering for atonement and the regular burnt offering^h with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.ⁱ

Festival of Tabernacles

29:12-39^pp — Lev 23:33–43; Dt 16:13–17

“ ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh^a month,^b hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days. Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord^c a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^d With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering^e of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths; and with each of the fourteen lambs, one-tenth.^f Include one male goat as a sin offering,^g in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.^h

“ ‘On the second dayⁱ offer twelve young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^j With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings^k and drink offerings^l according to the number specified.^m Include one male goat as a sin offering,ⁿ in addition to the regular burnt offering^o with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.^p

“ ‘On the third day offer eleven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.^q With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified.^r Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

“ ‘On the fourth day offer ten bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

“ ‘On the fifth day offer nine bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

“ ‘On the sixth day offer eight bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

“ ‘On the seventh day offer seven bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect. With the bulls, rams and lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

“ ‘On the eighth day hold a closing special assembly^s and do no regular work. Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord^t a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of one bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old,^u all without defect. With the bull, the ram and the lambs, offer their grain offerings and drink offerings according to the number specified. Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its grain offering and drink offering.

“ ‘In addition to what you vow^v and your freewill offerings,^w offer these to the Lord at your appointed festivals:^x your burnt offerings,^y grain offerings, drink offerings and fellowship offerings.^z’ ”

^*Moses told the Israelites all that the Lord commanded him.
