“Thus says the Lord God:
“I will destroy the idols
and put an end to the images in Memphis;
there shall no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt;
so I will put fear in the land of Egypt.
I will make Pathros a desolation
and will set fire to Zoan
and will execute judgments on Thebes.
And I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,
the stronghold of Egypt,
and cut off the multitude of Thebes.
And I will set fire to Egypt;
Pelusium shall be in great agony;
Thebes shall be breached,
and Memphis shall face enemies by day.
The young men of On and of Pi-beseth shall fall by the sword,
and the women shall go into captivity.
At Tehaphnehes the day shall be dark,
when I break there the yoke bars of Egypt,
and her proud might shall come to an end in her;
she shall be covered by a cloud,
and her daughters shall go into captivity.
Thus I will execute judgments on Egypt.
Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

“ ‘This is what the Lord God says:
I will destroy the worthless idols
and put an end to
the false gods in Memphis.
There will no longer be
a prince from the land of Egypt.
And I will instill fear in that land.
I will make Pathros desolate,
set fire to Zoan,
and execute judgments on Thebes.
I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,
the stronghold of Egypt,
and will wipe out the hordes of Thebes.
I will set fire to Egypt;
Pelusium will writhe in anguish,
Thebes will be breached,
and Memphis will face foes in broad daylight.
The young men of On and Pi-beseth
will fall by the sword,
and those cities will go into captivity.
The day will be dark in Tehaphnehes,
when I break the yoke of Egypt there
and its proud strength
comes to an end in the city.
A cloud will cover Tehaphnehes,
and its surrounding villages will go into captivity.
So I will execute judgments against Egypt,
and they will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
I will smash the idols of Egypt
and the images at Memphis.
There will be no rulers left in Egypt;
terror will sweep the land.
I will destroy southern Egypt,
set fire to Zoan,
and bring judgment against Thebes.
I will pour out my fury on Pelusium,
the strongest fortress of Egypt,
and I will stamp out
the hordes of Thebes.
Yes, I will set fire to all Egypt!
Pelusium will be racked with pain;
Thebes will be torn apart;
Memphis will live in constant terror.
The young men of Heliopolis and Bubastis will die in battle,
and the women will be taken away as slaves.
When I come to break the proud strength of Egypt,
it will be a dark day for Tahpanhes, too.
A dark cloud will cover Tahpanhes,
and its daughters will be led away as captives.
And so I will greatly punish Egypt,
and they will know that I am the Lord.”

Thus says the Lord Yahweh:
“And I will destroy the idols,
and I will put an end to the worthless idols from Memphis.
And there will no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt,
and I will put fear in the land of Egypt.
And I will lay waste Pathros,
and I will set fire in Zoan,
and I will execute judgments in No.
I will pour out my rage over Sin,
the stronghold of Egypt,
and I will cut off the crowd of No.
And I will set fire in Egypt,
certainly Sin will writhe,
and No will be breached,
and Memphis will face enemies daily.
The young men of On and Pi Beseth will fall by the sword,
and they will go into captivity.
And at Tahpanhes the day will become dark
when I break the yoke of Egypt,
and in it the majesty of its strength
will come to an end.
A cloud will cover it,
and its daughters will go into captivity.
And I will execute judgments in Egypt,
and they will know that I am Yahweh.”

KJV 1900King James Version
Thus saith the Lord God; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt. And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No. And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No. And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily. The young men of Aven and of Pi-beseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity. At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity. Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
