PSALM 110

You Are a Priest Forever

Of David. A Psalm.

^1aYahweh says to my Lord:

“^bSit at My right hand

Until I put ^cYour enemies as a footstool for Your feet.”

²Yahweh will stretch forth Your strong ^ascepter from Zion, saying,

“^bHave dominion in the midst of Your enemies.”

³Your ^apeople ¹will offer themselves freely in the day of Your ²power;

^bIn the splendor of holiness, from the womb of the dawn,

The ^cdew of Your youthfulness will be Yours.

^4aYahweh has sworn and will ^bnot ¹change His mind,

“You are a ^cpriest forever

According to the order of Melchizedek.”

⁵The Lord is ^aat Your right hand;

He ¹will ^bcrush kings in the ^cday of His anger.

⁶He will ^arender justice among the nations,

He ¹will fill them with ^bcorpses,

He ²will ^ccrush the ³head that is over the wide earth.

⁷He will ^adrink from the brook by the wayside;

Therefore He will ^blift up His head.

PSALM 111

Yahweh Is Gracious and Compassionate

I ^awill give thanks to Yahweh with all my heart,

In the ²council of the upright and in the congregation.

^2aGreat are the works of Yahweh;

They are ¹sought by all who delight in them.

^31aSplendid and majestic is His work,

And ²His righteousness stands forever.

⁴He has made His wondrous deeds ¹to be remembered;

Yahweh is ¹gracious and compassionate.

⁵He has ^agiven ¹food to those who ²fear Him;

He will ¹remember His covenant forever.

⁶He has declared to His people the power of His works,

Lamedh

In giving them an inheritance of the nations.

⁷The works of His hands are ^1atruth and justice;

Nun

All His precepts ¹are faithful.

Samekh

⁸They are ^aupheld forever and ever;

Ayin

They are done in ^a1truth and uprightness.

⁹He has sent ^aredemption to His people;

He has commanded His covenant forever;

¹Holy and ^afearsome is His name.

¹⁰The ^1afear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom;

¹Good insight belongs to all those who do ^aHis commandments;
