Psalm 6

To the ^*chief Musician on ^*Neginoth ^||*upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.

¹O ^aLord, rebuke me not in thine anger,

Neither ^bchasten me in thy hot displeasure.

^2cHave mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak:

O Lord, ^dheal me; for my bones ^eare vexed.

³My soul is also sore ^evexed:

But thou, O Lord, ^fhow long?

^4ffReturn, O Lord, deliver my soul:

Oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.

^5gFor in death there is no remembrance of thee:

In the grave who shall give thee thanks?

^6ggI am weary with ^hmy groaning;

^||All the night make I my bed to swim;

I water my couch with my tears.

⁷ⁱMine eye is consumed because of grief;

It waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

^8jDepart from me, all ^kye workers of iniquity;

For ^lthe Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

⁹The Lord hath heard my ^msupplication;

The Lord will receive my ^mprayer.

¹⁰Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore ^evexed:

Let them ⁿreturn and be ashamed suddenly.
