aI am sought of them that asked not for me;
I am found of them that sought me not:
I said, Behold me, behold me,
Unto a nation that bwas not called by my name.
2cI have spread out my hands all the day unto a drebellious people,
Which walketh in ea way that was not good, after ftheir own thoughts;
3A people gthat provoketh me to anger continually hto my face;
That sacrificeth iin gardens, and burneth incense †upon kaltars of brick;
4lWhich remain among the graves,
And lodge in the monuments,
mWhich eat swine’s flesh,
And ||nbroth of oabominable things is in their vessels;
5pWhich say, Stand by thyself,
Come not near to me; for I am holier than thou.
These are a smoke in my ||nose,
qA fire that burneth all the day.
6Behold, rit is written before me:
sI will not keep silence, but twill recompense,
Even recompense uinto their bosom,
7vYour iniquities, and xthe iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord,
yWhich have burned incense upon the mountains,
zAnd blasphemed me upon the hills:
Therefore will I measure their former awork uinto their bosom.
8Thus saith the Lord,
bAs the cnew wine is found in the cluster,
And one saith, Destroy it not; for da blessing is in it:
So will I do efor umy servants’ sakes,
bThat I may not destroy them all.
9And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob,
And fout of Judah gan inheritor of my mountains:
And mine helect shall ginherit it,
And my servants shall dwell there.
