1*aPaul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: 2Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3bWe are bound to cthank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your cfaith groweth exceedingly, and the ccharity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; 4dSo that we ourselves glory in you in ethe churches of God for your cpatience and cfaith fin all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5Which is ga manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be hcounted worthy of the kingdom of God, ffor which ye also suffer: 6iSeeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And jto you who are troubled krest with us, when lthe Lord Jesus mshall be revealed from heaven nwith †his mighty angels, 8oIn flaming fire ||ptaking vengeance on them qthat know not God, and rthat obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9sWho shall be punished with everlasting tdestruction ufrom the presence of the Lord, and wfrom the glory of his power; 10wWhen he shall come xto be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our xxtestimony among you ywas believed) zin that day. 11Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would ||hcount you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the agood pleasure of his bgoodness, and cthe work of faith with power: 12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ dmay be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
