Ezekiel 7:16–18

16 The fugitives who escape

will flee to the mountains.

Like doves of the valleys,

they will all moan,

each for their own sins.

17 Every hand will go limp;

every leg will be wet with urine.

18 They will put on sackcloth

and be clothed with terror.

Every face will be covered with shame,

and every head will be shaved.

16 But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity. 17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water. 18 They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

16 The survivors who escape to the mountains

will moan like doves, weeping for their sins.

17 Their hands will hang limp,

their knees will be weak as water.

18 They will dress themselves in burlap;

horror and shame will cover them.

They will shave their heads

in sorrow and remorse.

16 ‘Those who survive will escape and be on the mountains

Like doves of the valleys,

All of them mourning,

Each for his iniquity.

17 Every hand will be feeble,

And every knee will be as weak as water.

18 They will also be girded with sackcloth;

Horror will cover them;

Shame will be on every face,

Baldness on all their heads.

16 Those who are left alive and who escape will be on the mountains, moaning like doves of the valleys about their own sin. 17 All hands will hang weakly with fear, and all knees will become weak as water. 18 They will put on rough cloth to show how sad they are. They will tremble all over with fear. Their faces will show their shame, and all their heads will be shaved.

17 All their hands will become weak,

and all their knees will turn to water.

18 They will put on sackcloth,

and horror will overwhelm them.

Shame will cover all their faces,

and all their heads will be bald.

16 If any survivors escape,

they shall be found on the mountains

like doves of the valleys,

all of them moaning over their iniquity.

17 All hands shall grow feeble,

all knees turn to water.

18 They shall put on sackcloth;

horror shall cover them.

Shame shall be on all faces,

baldness on all their heads.

16 And if their survivors will escape, they will be on the mountains, like the doves of the valley, all of them groaning, each because of his guilt. 17 All of the hands will hang limp, and all of the knees will be wet with urine. 18 And they will wear sackcloth, and horror will cover them, and on all of the faces will be shame, and baldness on all of their heads.

16 All those who escape and are left alive will run to the mountains. They have committed many sins. So they will cry like sad doves in the valleys.

17 “ ‘Their hands will be powerless to help them. Their knees will become as weak as water. 18 They will put on black clothes. They will put on terror as if it were their clothes. Their faces will be covered with shame. Their heads will be shaved.

16 ‘Even when their survivors escape, they will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, each over his own iniquity.

17 ‘All hands will hang limp and all knees will become like water.

18 ‘They will gird themselves with sackcloth and shuddering will overwhelm them; and shame will be on all faces and baldness on all their heads.
