Psalm 113–114

^*Psalm CXIII.

Praise ye the Lord.

^aPraise, O ye ^abservants of the Lord,

Praise the name of the Lord.

^2cBlessed be the name of the Lord

From this time forth and for evermore.

^3dFrom the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same

^eThe Lord’s name is ^fto be praised.

⁴The Lord is ^ghigh above all nations,

And ^hhis glory above the heavens.

⁵ⁱWho is like unto the Lord our God,

Who dwelleth on high,

^6jWho humbleth himself to behold

The things that are in heaven, and in the earth?

⁷He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,

And lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

^8kThat he may ^lset him with princes,

Even with the princes of his people.

^9mHe maketh the barren woman to keep house,

To be a joyful mother of children.

ⁿPraise ye the Lord.

Psalm CXIV.

When ^aIsrael went out of Egypt,

The house of Jacob ^bfrom a people of strange language;

²Judah was ^chis sanctuary,

And Israel ^dhis dominion.

^3eThe sea saw it, and fled:

^fJordan was driven back.

^4gThe mountains skipped like rams,

And the ^hlittle hills like lambs.

⁵ⁱWhat ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest?

Thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

^6gYe mountains, that ye skipped like rams;

And ye ^hlittle hills, like lambs?

^7kTremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord,

At the presence of the God of Jacob;

⁸Which turned ^lthe rock into ^ma standing water,

The ⁿflint into a fountain of waters.
