aJudge not, bthat ye be not judged. 2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and cwith what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5Thou hypocrite, dfirst cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

6eGive not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, eand turn again and rent you.

7fAsk, gand it shall be given you; hseek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that hseeketh findeth: and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall iyour Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12Therefore all things kwhatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: lfor this is the law and the prophets.

13mEnter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15nBeware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are oravening wolves. 16pYe shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19qEvery tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore pby their fruits ye shall know them.

21rNot every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of imy Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not sprophesied in thy name? and in thy name thave cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: udepart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24Therefore wwhosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto xa wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a yfoolish man, zwhich built his house upon the sand: 27and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, athe people were astonished at his doctrine: 29bFor he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

VIII.When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. 2aAnd behold, there came a leper and bworshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3And Jesus put forth his hand, and bbtouched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4And Jesus saith unto him, cSee thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that dMoses commanded ddfor a testimony unto them.

5eAnd when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6and saying, Lord, my servant nlieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. 7And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8The centurion answered and said, Lord, fI am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but ffspeak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, gI have not found so great faith, no not in Israel. 11And I say unto you, That hmany shall come from the east and west, and hhshall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12But ithe children of the kingdom jshall be cast out into outer darkness: kthere shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

14lAnd when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw mhis wife’s mother nlaid, and sick of a fever. 15And he bbtouched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. 16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were opossessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying pHimself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

18Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, qhe gave commandment to depart unto the other side. 19And ra certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 20And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, ssuffer me first to go and bury my father. 22But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

23tAnd when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. 24And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. 26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, uO ye of little faith? Then vhe arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 27But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?

28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the wGergesenes, there met him xtwo ypossessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. 29And behold, they cried out, saying, zWhat have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou zzSon of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? 30And there was a good way off from them a herd of many swine feeding. 31So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. 32And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters. 33And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the ypossessed of the devils. 34And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, athey besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

IX.aAnd he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into bhis own city. 2cAnd behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus dseeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins ebe forgiven thee. 3And behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. 4And Jesus fknowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? 5For whether is easier, to say, Thy esins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 7And he arose, and departed to his house. 8But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and ffglorified God, which had given such power unto men.

9gAnd as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named ggMatthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him. 10And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, hmany publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. 11And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master iwith publicans and sinners? 12But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13But go ye and learn jwhat that meaneth, kI will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, lbut sinners to repentance.

14mThen came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees nfast oft, but thy disciples fast not? 15And Jesus said unto them, oCan pthe children of the ppbridechamber mourn, as long as the qbridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and qqthen shall they fast. 16No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment; for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. 17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else rthe bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

18sWhile he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and tworshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. 19And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. 20(And behold, a woman, which was diseased…
