Ezekiel 36:1–8

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto ^athe mountains of Israel, ^band say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord: ²Thus saith the Lord God; Because ^cthe enemy hath said against you, ^dAha, even ^ethe ancient high places ^fare ours in possession: ³therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and ^gswallowed you up on every side, ^fthat ye might be a possession unto ^hthe residue of the heathen, ⁱand ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and ⁱare an infamy of the people: ⁴therefore, ^aye mountains of Israel, ^bhear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God ^klto the mountains, and ^lto the hills, ^lto the rivers, and ^lto the valleys, to ⁿthe desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, ^owhich became ^pa prey and ^qderision to ^hthe residue of ^othe heathen that are round about; ⁵therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surely ^rin the fire of ^smy jealousy have I spoken against ^hthe residue of the heathen, and against ^ctall Idumea, ^fwhich have appointed my land into their possession ^twith the joy of all their heart, ^uwith despiteful minds, to cast it out ^pfor a prey. ⁶Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say ^lunto the mountains, and ^lto the hills, ^lto the rivers, and ^lto the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, ^sI have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ^vye have borne ^wthe shame of the heathen: ⁷therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have ^xlifted up mine hand, ^ySurely the heathen that are about you, ^vthey shall bear their shame.

⁸But ye, ^aO mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your ^zbranches, and yield your ^zfruit to my people of Israel; for ^athey are at hand to come.
