»Exodus« ist, wie »Genesis«, ein Titel, der nicht hebräischen, sondern griechischen Ursprungs ist. Die Septuaginta, eine frühe griechische Übersetzung des AT, nennt das Buch Exodos, ein Wort, das Ausgang, Auszug bedeutet – ein bezeichnender Titel für das Buch, das den Auszug des erwählten Volkes aus dem Land bezeichnet, in dem es seit Generationen hilflos als Sklavenvolk gelitten hatte. Das Wort exodos findet sich in der griechischen Fassung von 2Mo 19,1 und in bezeichnender Weise im griechischen NT in Lk 9,31; Hebr 11,22; und 2Petr 1,15.
Die Erlösung aus Ägypten geschah durch göttliches, wunderbares Eingreifen und verlangte auf der Seite der Israeliten nur den Glauben an die Wirkung des vergossenen Blutes (12,1–13). Ebenso heißt es im NT, dass Befreiung notwendig ist, um die Gemeinschaft eines erlösten Volkes mit Gott möglich zu machen. Nach der Vollendung der Errettung aus Ägypten wurde das Gesetz gegeben; darauf folgte eine Offenbarung der großen Wahrheiten einer Anbetung, die Gott gefällt, wie sie in der Wohnung (Stiftshütte) in den Opfern und im Priestertum gezeigt wird.
Im 2. Buch Mose führt Gott, der bis jetzt mit dem Volk Israel allein durch seinen Bund mit Abraham verbunden war (siehe 1Mo 12,2, Fußnote), das Volk als Nation durch die Errettung aus Ägypten zu sich selbst, stellt sie unter den Bund, der am Sinai durch Mose vermittelt wurde (19,5, Fußnote), und wohnt unter ihnen in der Wolke der Herrlichkeit. Der Galaterbrief erklärt die Beziehung des Gesetzes zum Bund mit Abraham. In den Geboten lehrt Gott Israel seine gerechten Forderungen. Die Erfahrung unter den Geboten überführte Israel von Sünde; und die Vorsorge durch Priestertum und Opfer (voll von kostbaren Typen auf Christus) zeigt einem schuldigen Volk den Weg zu der Vergebung, der Reinigung, der Wiederherstellung der Gemeinschaft und der Anbetung.
Das 2. Buch Mose enthält viele Typen von reicher Bedeutung. Siehe Fußnoten zu den folgenden Stellen: die Bedeutung des Mose (2,2); das Passahfest (12,11); Manna (16,35); der Felsen (17,6); das Zelt (25,9); auch Fußnoten über Öl (27,20) und Priestertum (29,4.5).
Das 2. Buch Mose kann man in drei Hauptteile gliedern:

About Anmerkungen der Scofield-BibelDie Scofield-Bibel ist eine weit verbreitete Studienbibel, die vom Theologen Cyrus I. Scofield mit Anmerkungen versehen und herausgegeben wurde. Eine Bibelausgabe mit Anmerkungen erschien zum ersten Mal 1909 als “Scofield Reference Bible”. Seit den 60er Jahren gibt es auch eine deutsche Ausgabe, die mit verschiedenen Bibelübersetzungen kombiniert wurde. Der internationale Erfolg der Scofield-Bibel spricht für sich. Die Anmerkungen haben legen einen Schwerpunkt auf heilsgeschichtliche Auslegung und sind von einem dispensationalistischen Ansatz geprägt. |
