45:21Tell me! Present the evidence!53

Let them consult with one another!

Who predicted this in the past?

Who announced it beforehand?

Was it not I, the Lord?

I have no peer, there is no God but me,

a God who vindicates and delivers;54

there is none but me.

45:22Turn to me so you can be delivered,55

all you who live in the earth’s remote regions!

For I am God, and I have no peer.

Footnotes

  1. 53 Heb “Declare! Bring near!”; “Declare and set forth your case.” See 41:21.
  2. 54 Or “a righteous God and deliverer”; , , “a righteous God and a Savior.”
  3. 55 The Niphal imperative with prefixed vav (ו) indicates purpose after the preceding imperative. The Niphal probably has a tolerative sense, “allow yourselves to be delivered, accept help.”

and there is no other.

NLTNew Living Translation

There is none but me.

Let all the world look to me for salvation!

For I am God; there is no other.

Declare and present your case,

also let them consult together!

Who made this known from former times,

declared it from of old?

and no savior besides me.

Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth,

for I am God and there is none besides me.

KJV 1900King James Version

Tell ye, and bring them near;

Yea, let them take counsel together:

Who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time?

Have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me;

A just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:

For I am God, and there is none else.
