PSALM 84
Blessed Is the Man Who Trusts in You
For the choir director. According to the †Gittith. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.
1How lovely are Your adwelling places,
O Yahweh of hosts!
2My asoul has longed and even 1fainted for the courts of Yahweh;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the bliving God.
3Even the bird has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself, where she sets her young,
At Your aaltars, O Yahweh of hosts,
bMy King and my God.
4How ablessed are those who dwell in Your house!
They are bever praising You. 1Selah.
5How blessed is the man whose astrength is in You,
In 1whose heart are the bhighways to Zion!
6Passing through the valley of 1Baca they make it a 2spring;
The aearly rain also wraps it up with blessings.
7They ago from strength to strength,
1Each one of them bappears before God in Zion.
8O aYahweh God of hosts, hear my prayer;
Give ear, O bGod of Jacob! Selah.
9See our ashield, O God,
And look upon the face of bYour anointed.
10For abetter is a day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere.
I would choose to stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11For Yahweh God is aa sun and bshield;
Yahweh gives grace and cglory;
dNo good thing does He withhold 1from those who walk blamelessly.
12O Yahweh of hosts,
How ablessed is the man who trusts in You!
PSALM 85
Turn Us Back, O God
For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.
1O Yahweh, You showed afavor to Your land;
You 1breturned the fortunes of Jacob.
2You aforgave the iniquity of Your people;
You bcovered all their sin. 1Selah.
3You awithdrew all Your fury;
You bturned back from Your burning anger.
4aTurn us back, O God of our salvation,
And bcause Your vexation toward us to cease.
5Will aYou be angry with us forever?
Will You prolong Your anger from generation to generation?
6Will You not Yourself areturn to 1revive us,
That Your people may bbe glad in You?
7Show us, O Yahweh, Your lovingkindness,
And agive us Your salvation.
8Let me hear what the God, Yahweh, will speak;
For He will aspeak peace to His people, 1to His holy ones;
But let them not bturn back to 2folly.
9Surely aHis salvation is near to those who 1fear Him,
That bglory may dwell in our land.
10aLovingkindness and 1truth have met together;
bRighteousness and peace have kissed each other.
111Truth asprings up from the earth,
And righteousness looks down from heaven.
12Indeed, aYahweh will give what is good,
And our bland will yield its produce.
13aRighteousness will go before Him
And will establish the way of His steps.
