37Now when they heard this, they were bpricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, cwhat shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, dRepent, and ebe baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ ffor the remission of sins, and ye shall receive gthe gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and hto your children, and to all that are iafar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40And with many other words did he jtestify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this kuntoward generation.
41Then they that gladly lreceived his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them mabout three thousand nsouls. 42And they ocontinued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in ybreaking of bread, and in prayers. 43And pfear came upon every soul: and qmany wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44And all that believed were rtogether, and shad all things common; 45And tsold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, uas every man had need. 46And they, ocontinuing daily wwith one accord xin the temple, and ybreaking bread ||from house to house, did eat their meat with zgladness and singleness of heart, 47aPraising God, and having bfavour with all the people. And the Lord cadded to the church daily dsuch as should be saved.
