Psalm 149

Psalm CXLIX.

Praise ye the Lord.

^aSing unto the Lord a new song,

And his praise ^bin the congregation of ^csaints.

²Let Israel ^drejoice in ^ehim that made him:

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their ^fKing.

^3gLet them praise his name in ^hithe dance:

Let them sing praises unto him with ⁱthe timbrel and ^gharp.

⁴For ^kthe Lord taketh pleasure in his people:

He will ^lbeautify the meek with ^msalvation.

⁵Let ^cthe saints be joyful in glory:

ⁿLet them ^msing aloud ^oupon their beds.

⁶Let the ^phigh praises of God be in their mouth,

And a ^qtwoedged sword ^qqin their hand;

⁷To execute vengeance upon the heathen,

And punishments upon the people;

⁸To bind their kings with ^rchains,

And their ^snobles with ^tfetters of iron;

^9uTo execute upon them the judgment ^xwritten:

^yThis honour have all ^chis saints.

^zPraise ye the Lord.
