To the * chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
aHow long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? afor ever?
How long wilt thou aahide thy face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God:
bLighten mine eyes, clest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 dLest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him;
And those that trouble me rejoice when eI am moved.
5 But I have ftrusted in thy mercy;
fgMy heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath hdealt bountifully with me.

About The Cambridge Paragraph Bible of the Authorized English VersionThe Cambridge Paragraph Bible, edited by F.H.A. Scrivener, is a comprehensive and carefully edited revision of the King James Version text. Originally published in 1873, this version presents the text in paragraph form, poetry formatted in poetic line-division, and also includes the Apocrypha. Scrivener’s revisions are thoroughly documented, including multiple appendices which include translation notes and instances of departure from the original KJV text. |
