aNot unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
But unto thy name bgive glory,
For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say,
cWhere is now their God?
3 dBut our God is in the heavens:
eHe hath done whatsoever he pleased.
4 fTheir idols are silver and gold,
gThe work of men’s hands.
5 They have mouths, hbut they speak not:
Eyes have they, ibut they see not:
6 kThey have ears, but they hear not:
Noses have they, but they smell not:
7 lThey have hands, but they handle not:
Feet have they, but they walk not:
Neither speak they through their throat.
8 mThey that make them are like unto them;
So is every one that trusteth in them.
9 nO Israel, otrust thou in the Lord:
pHe is their help and their qshield.
10 nO house of Aaron, otrust in the Lord:
pHe is their help and their qshield.
11 nrYe that fear the Lord, otrust in the Lord:
pHe is their help and their qshield.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us;
He will bless sthe house of Israel;
He will bless sthe house of Aaron.
13 He will bless ntthem that fear the Lord,
Both small * and great.
14 The Lord shall uincrease you more and more,
You and your children.
15 You are vblessed of the Lord
wWhich made heaven and earth.
16 xThe heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s:
But the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 xxThe dead praise not the yLord,
Neither any that go down into zsilence.
18 aBut we will bless the yLord
From this time forth and for evermore.
bPraise the Lord.

Originally published in 1873, this version presents the text in paragraph form, poetry formatted in poetic line-division, and also includes the Apocrypha.
