This title for Jesus was locked away in scholars’ textbooks until recently. Now, since the publication of William Blatty’s novel and the movie based on it, it is a word on many people’s lips. If you use the story-line of The Exorcist as an introduction, it is worth a comment that both book and film miss the really significant point.
