These studies and translations of the Greek New Testament are simplified commentaries on the Greek text for the Bible student who is not conversant with the Greek language. Jesus Christ (I Cor. 9:12), which is good news concerning Jesus Christ, namely, that He died on the Cross and thus becomes the Saviour of the sinner who puts his faith in Him. There is the good news of the grace of God (Acts 20:24), referring to the same thing as the good news of Jesus Christ. The verb euaggelizomai (εὐαγγελιζομαι) is uniformly translated “to preach the gospel” except where it may be rendered “bring or show glad (good) tidings,” or “hath declared.” In the following places it is
