3430. μοιχεία moicheía; gen. moicheías, fem. noun from moicheúō (3431), to commit adultery. The act of adultery (Matt. 15:19; Mark 7:21; John 8:3; Gal. 5:19; Sept.: Jer. 13:27 [cf. Hos. 2:4]). Moicheía is included in the more general word porneía (4202), fornication, which encompasses all kinds of sexual sins. Moicheía involves at least one person who is married.
