word ALL. In His grace and mercy God includes all sin in His forgiveness—not some unrighteousness, but ALL unrighteousness. Forgiveness and cleansing are guaranteed to anyone for any sin. This is based upon God’s faithfulness to keep His promises. The cleansing spoken of here is that which comes from the shed Blood of Christ. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7)
