infinity, immutability, and the attributes peculiar to divinity. On the other hand, in the limitation of His incarnation He did demonstrate specific qualities that we also have in our new nature. We can grow in these qualities: mercy, love, long-suffering, and even holiness and grace. We have to look to those humanly manifested qualities that He expects us to imitate. They are indeed also divine attributes, but they constitute that part of God’s nature that He invested in redeemed humanity.
