The Holy Spirit makes men penitents long before He makes them divines; and he who believes what he knows shall soon know more clearly what he believes. As you grow downward in humility seek also to grow upward, having nearer approaches to God in prayer and more intimate fellowship with Jesus. Jesus Christ is Himself the sum and substance of the covenant, and as one of its gifts He is the property of every believer. Desire is insatiable as death, but He who filleth all in all can fill it. The capacity
