There is an adaptation in the Bible for human beings of all ages, and therefore it has a fitness for children. When a true child of God is in trouble it is wonderful how dear the Bible becomes to him—ay, the very words of it. When a boy is rebellious, conquer him, and do it well the first time, that there may be no need to do it again.
