The Gathas are permeated by eschatological thinking. In the end times there will be a judgment and a mighty conflagration. The dead will be raised and judged by Ahura Mazda. The wicked will go to hell, and the good to a kingdom of everlasting light and joy. This will happen to all people: irrespective of social position.
