5:1: And I saw on the right [hand] of the one sitting on the throne a scroll written on the inside and on the outside, securely sealed with seven seals. Right-handedness is usual, and “on the right [hand]” differs from “having” and “gripping” “in his right [hand]” (1:16; 2:1). These factors suggest that the scroll is lying on the palm of the throne-sitter’s right hand, with which hand he offers the scroll to its rightful claimant.
