Satan, to his own eternal outrage, still serves God’s ultimate purpose. Direct links between the laws of physics, including the cosmic space-time dimensions, and the conquest and permanent removal of evil are drawn in the pages of Scripture. These laws and dimensions are not evil. They have been in effect for 13.73 billion years but will not continue indefinitely. According to the Bible, a time comes when “creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay” (Rom. 8:21; see vv. 20–22). That
