His first response was that of compassion, not punishment or revenge. The father ran to his wayward son and, not waiting for words, threw his arms around him in a welcoming embrace. Sin is relational and so is grace. Grace is greater than all our sin. The way home begins with a step toward God, and He will help close the distance quickly.
