LESSON 24 IRREGULAR AND DEFECTIVE VERBS (1) SOME IRREGULAR FUTURES AND 1ST AORISTS (a) Whereas verbs in -εω make future in -ήσω, the following have -έσω:—ἀρκέω I suffice; ἐπαινέω, I praise (1st aor. ἐπῄνεσα); καλέω, I call; τελέω, I finish; φορέω, I carry. The following makes future and 1st aor. in -ευ-:—πνέω, I blow, 1st aor. ἔπνευσα. So καίω, I burn, makes καύσω, and κλαίω, I weep, makes κλαύσω.
