The book of Hebrews is the work of a powerful preacher with a deep pastoral concern for his hearers. Apollos’s skill in demonstrating Christ’s messiahship from the OT is in accord with the pastor’s Christological exposition. Apollos’s ability to confound Jews who did not acknowledge Christ fits well
