Everlasting righteousness will ‘seal’ prophecy in the sense of authenticating and ending it. Finally, to anoint a holy of holies does not relate to any other verse in Daniel. In the Old Testament the term ‘holy of holies’ occurs only in passages about the tabernacle, temple or priesthood (Montgomery 1927:375; Collins 1993:354; BDB 871–872).
