weapon,” is used metaphorically in Rom. 6:13 of the members of the body as “instruments” (marg., “weapons”), negatively, of unrighteousness, positively, of righteousness. The metaphor is probably military (cf. v. 23, “wages,” i.e. soldiers’ pay); Moule renders it “implements”; “weapons” seems to be the meaning. See ARMOR, WEAPONS.
