The existence of the remnant is an act of divine grace grounded in the fact that Jesus is the ultimate expression of the remnant as the true Faithful One through whom God saved and preserved humanity. This Christological understanding of the remnant shows that its identity is derived, supported, and preserved through Christ. His victory is indeed their victory. The long historical trajectory of the concept of the remnant as a designation of those through whom God is fulfilling in a
