theology is thoughtful and careful and disciplined thinking about God and His work. There’s a tendency sometimes for us to think that theology is whatever we feel or whatever we like. We build our theology of bumper stickers or little slogans, things like that. Theology really involves discipline and hard work and really thinking about God and what He has done for us. In a sense, any thoughtful attempt to understand God and His work is systematic theology. Since we’re all theologians, we all do this.
