and conviction of God’s people, and God’s miraculous intervention in delivering them from the furnace, Nebuchadnezzar takes another step on his long journey to faith. Yet his statement in verse 28, praising the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and acknowledging their strength of faith, while sincere, is still some way from personal faith.
