To put it together, one is to be without offense, and when confrontation is necessary, to be ever forgiving. Such an attitude of continual forgiveness without limit toward a repentant offender would require supernatural faith in God’s enabling grace. Thus the request from the apostles is “increase our faith” (17:5).
