Here in v. 29 it is made quite clear that Peter is married (cf. 1 Cor. 9:5), and so we see some of the cost of discipleship for him here as well. This healing, like the exorcism, takes place on the Sabbath, and it is important to understand the theology of the Sabbath in Jesus’ day.
