Some Christians claim to be able to heal the sick and even raise the dead. Some people applaud this, while others are skeptical. Are these healers using the power of God? Are they faking? Miracles Where Faith Is Absent. In the vast majority of Jesus’ miracles faith is not present at all, either explicitly or implicitly. This is true of at least eighteen of Jesus’ miracles. In some cases the faith is a result of the miracle, not a condition of it. For example, when Jesus performed His first miracle (of turning water to wine), the Bible says, “He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him” (John 2:11).
