: In BA nouns and adjectives have two genders, masculine and feminine. There is actually no formal distinction between nouns and adjectives in BA. However, the qattîl and qətîl types are generally used for adjectives. Masculine nouns have no particular ending, but feminine nouns generally end in ִי ָה, or וּ.
