heaven are the innumerable heavenly bodies, which God has created (Gen. 2:1; Ps. 33:6). A title by which God is frequently known is “the LORD of hosts,” Yahweh tsaba˒ot (in English this is sometimes inadequately spelled “Lord Sabaoth”). The Lord of hosts is the God of the armies of Israel, who also has great spiritual armies at His command (see Rev. 19:14).
