If we return to Marshall’s central question, we begin to clearly see the disconnect in Barth’s theology. To put it succinctly, Barth essentially severs Jewishness from Judaism, both with regard to Christ and true obedience to the law. That Christ is the fullness of the law apparently leaves no room for the ongoing practice of the Holiness Code in all of its sanctifying
